On April 22nd, the German Film Festival 2025 opened at Chavara Public Library Hall, Kochi. The event was presented by the Cochin Film Society and Chavara Cultural Centre, in collaboration with Goethe-Zentrum Kochi.
Audiences experienced a thoughtfully curated selection of acclaimed German films with English subtitles, exploring themes of identity, justice, love, and belonging. The festival opened with Nahschuss, followed by Alle Reden Übers Wetter and Ivie wie Ivie, and concluded on April 23rd with Le Prince and Toubab.
The festival was inaugurated by renowned artist T. Kaladharan, with distinguished guests including C.S. Jayaram, Anil Philip, and Aravind Raghav in attendance.
