Established in 2008, the Goethe-Zentrum Trivandrum was founded with the primary objective of providing comprehensive German language education, offering courses ranging from A1 to C2 levels. Over the years, the centre has developed into an important platform for German language learning and cultural engagement in Kerala.The Goethe-Zentrum Trivandrum, together with its branch in Kochi and the newly established centre in Calicut, is managed by the Indo-German Language and Cultural Society (IGLCS). The IGLCS is a registered organisation functioning under the Travancore-Cochin Charitable Societies Act and is committed to promoting German language and cultural connections in the region.The organisation is governed by a seven-member Board, chaired by Mr. G. Vijaya Raghavan, the founder CEO of Kerala’s first IT park, Technopark, and serving as a member of the Kerala State Planning Board.

Facilities
The Goethe-Zentrum in Trivandrum is ideally located in the centre of the city, in the lush green and peaceful Jawahar Nagar. It offers most-modern infrastructure including air-conditioned classrooms with smart board and facilities including cafeteria, amphitheater, garden and a self-study room.
The Kochi branch is also very centrally located parallel to the MG Road and has well-equipped, air-conditioned classrooms, a small roof-top café and covered terrace for multiple purposes.
Calicut
The Calicut Centre, located in the heart of Kozhikode city, is a newly established, spacious and modern facility serving the Malabar region. It offers fully air-conditioned, well-equipped classrooms, modern infrastructure and a pleasant learning atmosphere. Its central and easily accessible location makes it convenient for students and learners from Kozhikode and the surrounding districts.
