ONLINE REGISTRATION DETAILS FOR BOTH TRIVANDRUM & KOCHI............... A1 – 18TH JANUARY 2021 AT 10 AM | A2 - 18TH JANUARY 2021 AT 3 PM | B1 ALL MODULES - 19TH JANUARY 2021 AT 10 AM | B1 MODULEWISE - 19TH JANUARY 2021 AT 3 PM | B2 ALL MODULES(ONLY IN TRIVANDRUM) - 20TH JANUARY 2021 AT 10 AM | B2 MODULEWISE(ONLY IN TRIVANDRUM) - 20TH JANUARY 2021 AT 3 PM........... THERE IS ONLY ONLINE REGISTRATION & THE REGISTRATION WILL AUTOMATICALLY END ONCE THE ALLOTTED NUMBERS FOR EACH LEVEL HAVE EXHAUSTED.................. THE EXAMINATION DATES ARE TENTATIVE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE, DEPENDING UPON THE PREVAILING COVID SITUATION AND/OR ANY INSTRUCTION FROM THE GOVERNMENT OF KERALA............ THERE WILL NOT BE ANY REFUND OF THE EXAMINATION FEES, BUT SHOULD ANY CANDIDATE NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE EXAMINATION FOR A VALID REASON, SUCH CANDIDATE MAY BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND THE NEXT AVAILABLE EXAMINATION.............. About Us

The Goethe-Zentrum in Trivandrum was established in the year 2008 with the primary objectives of offering German language classes for the levels A1 to C2.

The Goethe-Zentrum in Trivandrum and its branch in Kochi are managed by the Indo-German Language and Cultural Society (IGLCS), registered according to the Travancore-Cochin Charitable Societies Act. The IGLCS is governed by a seven-member board, chaired by Mr. G. Vijaya Raghavan, founder CEO of Kerala’s first IT park Technopark and former member of the State Planning Board.

The other members of the board are:

    1.Prof. Dr. Latha Tampi – Vice-Chairperson and Former Head of the Department of German, University of Kerala
    2.Dr. Syed Ibrahim – Honorary Secretary and Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany for Kerala
    3.Mr. Subramoniya Sarma – Chartered Accountant
    4.Mr. Ratheesh Ayyappan – Legal Advisor
    5.Mrs. Sheena Syed
    6.Mr. Ajith Nambissan

The Board meets every three months to discuss and decide on the activities undertaken by the Goethe-Zentrum or any matter related to it.

 

FACILITIES

The Goethe-Zentrum in Trivandrum is ideally located in the centre of the city, near the University of Kerala. It offers most-modern infrastructure including air-conditioned classrooms with smart board and facilities including cafeteria, amphitheater, open lawns, multimedia self-study room with tablets and computers as well as a band stand.

The Kochi branch is also very centrally located parallel to the MG Road and has well-equipped, air-conditioned classrooms, a small roof-top café and covered terrace for multiple purposes.
